“What is Space Force?” This has been a question on people's minds ever since President Trump announced the establishment of the new branch last month. Here's what we know so far.

Space Force will be a sixth branch of the U.S military, and it will focus on space defense from attacks in orbit or other areas outside Earth's atmosphere. The U.S Air Force currently handles these responsibilities but there have been concerns that they are stretched too thin by current demands for airpower to handle both threats in space and those posed by adversaries like Russia and China on earth. There is also concern over how much money should be allocated to this endeavor, considering Congress has not yet authorized funding for Space Force, which could cost $13 billion over the next five years.

The theory of an orbital military force is not a new one; both Russia and China have had such forces in place for decades, sometimes even partnering with each other to protect their own interests in space.

Moving forward, Congress will have to give its blessing before Space Force can be made official by President Trump. This happened at the end of 2018. Then military leaders will have to decide on what command structure would be best for Space Force, whether it should report directly to the Air Force or have its own branch independent of the existing force.

The idea was originally proposed by President Reagan in his 1989 State of the Union address but has seen little action since, facing stiff opposition by critics who say that the new branch will be too costly. With a budget of $8 billion over 5 years, Space Force is certainly an ambitious endeavor and only time will tell if this is really worth spending money on to improve national security.

The Air Force is a military branch that specializes in aerospace warfare for the United States: The Air Force was founded on September 18, 1947, with the passing of the National Security Act of 1947 by Congress as a successor to the U.S Army Air Corps, making it the youngest branch of the United States Military and placing it under the jurisdiction of the Department of Defense. The Air Force is part of the United States Air Force, which is one branch out of five military divisions within its department and includes army, navy, marine corps (or marines), coast guard (or coast guard), and public health. It is headed by the Secretary of the Air Force, who has four-star general rank and oversees both personnel needs as well as procurement budgets.

President Trump announced the creation of Space Force, a space-based military branch that would be more focused on space defense. It's an ambitious endeavor that critics say is too costly, but it also has an uncertain future as to what its command will be with Space Force's estimated $8 billion price tag.

The Space Force was established on December 20th, 2019 with a plan to have the United States space program protected by a space-faring military branch. It's estimated that it could cost about $8 billion over five years, and so far Congress has not been asked to authorize funding for Space Force. The White House is also unsure if there will be a Space Force, or how much of the money spent on space defense and space programs will come from Space Force. The Air Force has been handling such responsibilities right now, but there is concern that it's stretched too thin by current demands for airpower to handle both space threats and those posed by adversaries like Russia and China on earth.

The budget for space is about 18 billion dollars a year. This includes space defense, NASA, space research, and more. The military Space Force is expected to cost about $8 billion over five years. Going into space can be very expensive but it's also dangerous because you are literally on another planet that we know little about. Space Force will have to deal with space debris and space junk as well as other space ships, space colonies, planets, and more. Space Force is expected to be very expensive but it's also supposed to be worth it because the threat of space invasion is much greater than earth invaders at this time.

The Space Force has an uncertain future because space is so expensive, dangerous, and complex. Space Force could be a good investment or it could simply be too costly for our country to handle. Space Force raises some scientific questions as well such as are we the only space-faring race in the universe or are there other space-faring races? If space is dangerous it will make Space Force space defense very expensive. Space Force will cost a lot of money and it's supposed to be worth it because space is so dangerous right now.
